Flexible Job Slots

One job posting. So many opportunities.

For quick-fill positions and high-turnover roles, Monster’s Flexible Job Slots are designed for your ongoing needs. Follow these top 10 tips to get the most value out of yours.

Tip #1: Understand How It Works

Your Flexible Job Slot works just like a reserved parking space with your name on it. It is always available, and you can park any job there. Pull in a job posting and park it until you have the candidates you need – then, tow it away and pull in another. It is completely flexible and perfect for those quick-to-fill roles. To get the most bang for your buck, always keep a job up and running.

Tip #2: Need a job description?

Monster has done the heavy lifting for you. The system is loaded with pre-written job descriptions – use them as is or for inspiration. Find out how to put them to use with our guide to Posting a Job Ad.

  • Please Note: Quebec job postings now mandate justification for any language requirements other than French. Please ensure your job descriptions comply. To learn more, click here and review section 46.1.

Tip #3: Follow Our Best Practices

Monster has compiled a list of Job Ad Best Practices to make your job postings more effective and attract the right candidates. Make note of them while creating and editing your job postings.

Tip #4: Save Your Job

You have the ability to save any job posting you create for future use. All you have to do is check the box next to Save Job to Hiring Library. You’ll see it right after you’ve entered your job information. The next time you want to use it, just select it from the Posting Shortcuts at the top of the page when you go to post or edit a job.

Tip #5: Stay Organized

A folder for each unique job posting is automatically created to collect all of the candidate responses that are sure to follow. Monster provides an easy way to Manage Candidates within these folders, so you can easily track candidates by status, rating and more.

Tip #6: Get the Right Amount of Exposure

Your job posting will automatically be mobile optimized and pushed from Monster.ca to the Monster mobile app and other partner sites. We’ll also share your jobs with millions of candidates through job alerts and recommended job emails. Unless you find your star candidate right off the bat, keep each job posting up for a minimum of 7 to 14 days. This timeframe will allow it to get more exposure and attract a solid batch of candidates for your consideration.

Tip #7: Tap into Your Network

Reach out to your most captive audience and make sure to share a link to your job posting on all of your company’s social profiles. You never know who all of the “Likes” and “Shares” will lead to.

Tip #8: Switch Jobs

Once candidates are rolling in, it’s time to pull another job into your parking space. Simply expire your job and add a new one. The Manage Your Job Ads article will walk you through the steps. And if you ever want to make any changes to your posting, check out how easy is it with Monster’s editing article.

Tip #9: Share via SearchMonster
